From reinforcement plan to bending machine

How a reinforcement request runs through FlowCraft: the plan is read, the bars recognised, the quotation drawn up and, once accepted, the machine files follow.

FlowCraft automates whole business processes, from the request that comes in to the invoice that goes out. For a rebar supplier that runs from the reinforcement plan to the files for the bending machine.

An existing reinforcement plan of a house. The title block has been left out and the reading rules are tuned to this engineering office's drawing style. The first and last screens are simplified example screens with fictitious data. The video is in Dutch.

A few screens

These example screens show, simplified, how a request runs through the platform. The data are fictitious.

Example screen Requests: an incoming request with the plans that were read and the sections recognised.
The request arrives by email. The platform turns it into a project, with all plans and bending schedules attached.
Example screen Bar recognition: a beam section with the positions and a table with count, diameter, legs, cut length and weight.
Per position the count, the diameter, the legs and the weight, with a reference to the section or the table on the plan. Doubtful cases are set apart for checking.
Example screen Quotations: the tonnage per diameter from the price list and the total excluding VAT.
The quotation per diameter and in tonnes, from your own price list. You decide whether it goes out.
Example screen Machine files: a BVBS extract and the assignment per machine.
Once accepted, the machine files follow in BVBS, PXML or aSa.

The platform already runs in production at a construction manufacturer. We are now extending it to reinforcement and are looking for a few suppliers who want to think along.

Does this fit the way you work?

How does a price come about at your company when a request with plans comes in, and how much time goes into retyping bars? We are happy to come and talk about it. Half an hour is enough to see whether this fits the way you work. Plan a conversation.
